Long Beach, CA – For the Presidential Primary Election taking place Tuesday, March 5, 2024, on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, the Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk will open all 11-day vote centers throughout Los Angeles County. The four-day Vote Centers will open on March 2, 2024.
All Vote Centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through March 4. On Election Day, March 5, all Vote Centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voters who receive a Vote by Mail ballot can choose to vote in-person at any Vote Center or by mail. Voters who prefer to cast their ballot by mail have until Feb. 27, 2024, to request a Vote by Mail ballot from LA County. Requests for a one-time Vote by Mail ballot can be made via an online or paper application.
Vote by Mail ballots can be dropped in a mailbox (no postage necessary), at a Ballot Drop Box, or Vote Center. Voters who vote by mail must secure the ballot inside the envelope and sign the back of the envelope. All Vote by Mail ballots must be postmarked by March 5, 2024. Long Beach Transit (LBT) encourages voter participation by providing complimentary bus rides on all its routes on Election Day. Customers will be able to travel to and from voting polls or to drop off ballots aboard LBT all day long on March 5. In addition to its regularly scheduled, fixed-route bus service, LBT will offer complimentary rides for its eligible Dial-A-Lift customers.
